Subcontractor Pre-Qualification

What we look for in a trade partner.
Every subcontractor working under Leo's Construction Services goes through the same pre-qualification review before being added to our active bid list, regardless of trade or project size. This isn't a formality. Several of our projects run on active, guest-occupied sites or public-institution campuses where a subcontractor's safety record and insurance standing directly affect whether we can put them on-site at all.
We review current general liability and workers' compensation coverage, safety record and any OSHA citation history, relevant trade licensing, and references from at least two prior commercial projects of comparable scope. Qualified subcontractors are added to our bid list and contacted directly as relevant projects come up.
Before you're added to our bid list.
Current Insurance
Active general liability and workers' compensation coverage at limits appropriate to your trade, verified before you're added to our list.
Safety Record
A clean or well-explained safety history, including any OSHA citations in the past three years, is reviewed as part of qualification.
Licensing
Current, verifiable Florida trade licensing appropriate to the scope of work you're bidding.
References
At least two references from prior commercial projects of comparable scope, with contact information we can verify directly.
